It was announced on Sunday that comfy camping anime, Yuru Camp△, will be getting a second season. The surprise announcement was made by voice actress Hanamori Yumiri at a special viewing event in Saitama. Hanamori played the role of Nadeshiko in the anime's first season. Later in the day, a movie and a second series of animated shorts were also announced.
The sleeper hit first aired as part of the winter 2018 season and is an adaptation of a manga of the same that's serialized in Manga Time Kirara Forward. The series follows the unlikely duo of Shima Rin, a solitary high school student who loves to go solo camping, and the energetic and sociable Kagamihara Nadeshiko. Nadeshiko takes an interest in camping after a getting lost while trying to take a photo of Mount Fuji. By chance she's rescued by Rin and the two become friends.
