About

Profile

Solidus Photography is an attempt to share the things I've seen in the pursuit of one of my favorite hobbies. While I primarily enjoy photographing landscapes and architechture, I'll turn my lens on anything I find compelling.

As a lifelong New Yorker, I simultaneously believe that New York is both the greatest and worst city in the world. That's why it comes as no surprise that I would wind up capturing my most inspired images as far away from there as phsyically possible.

Even though I've been around cameras for as long as I can remember, I didn't develop an interest in photography until high school. However, I didn't start to pursue that interest seriously until college. After founding a pop culture & entertainment blog, I realized we had a dozen writers but no photographers. So I saved up money from my first "real" job and bought a Canon Rebel T2i. Eventually the blog folded, giving way to time and money to pursue other interests with my camera at my side. Since then I've become enamored with travel photography and have developed an interest in printing and bookmaking.
